We have strength in process geomorphology, with a particular focus on coastal systems in South East Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.

Our research areas include long-term coastal evolution, numerical modelling of coastal systems, and paleo-tempestology.

Investigation of aeolian systems, including long-distance dust transport and coastal dunes, is ongoing.

Other research programs focus on glacial geomorphology in New Zealand and Tasmania, and fluvial geomorphology in eastern Australia. We also examine fundamental processes of erosion through cosmogenic radionuclides.
