My  goal is to develop confidence intervals for a wood supply models based on developing a forest inventory using Lidar, reference plots, and collecting diameter and height information, and fish eye photos to obtain leaf area index and calibrate Landsat imagery for supervised classification to obtain species and stand density. I then plan to use random forests in R to obtain the best model for calculating product volumes for the Beerburrum State Forest near Brisbane. My hope to build a wood supply model using Remsoft's Woodstock and do various monte carlo simulations to estimate confidence intervals for sustained yield over a 70 year time period.
