The project seeks to improve management of invasive species by helping pest mitigation agencies work together. An interdisciplinary approach, using game theory, spatial modelling, and ecology, is expected to create a novel framework identifying how and when agencies might collaborate, and how collaboration might impact on costs and benefits of pest control strategies. Enabling pest mitigation agencies to work together should lead to better agricultural productivity and environmental outcomes. This project is relevant and urgent nationally and globally, as invasive species have dramatic impacts of agriculture and threatened plants and animals at both scales.
