The Role of Walking towards Achieving a Disaster Resilient Community

Few studies that exist demonstrate the key role that walking plays during disasters but walking as a transport mode has often been ignored and neglected as part of an overall disaster plan to achieve more resilient communities. This study will attempt to improve understanding of the relationships between walking and community resilience.
