The Problematic Land Acquisition Process for Infrastructure Development in Indonesia
Duration:
January 2016–January 2019
This research intends to seek a better understanding of the correlation between land acquisition process and infrastructure development projects in Indonesia. Land acquisition has been one of major constraints in the execution of infrastructure projects. Due to the complicated and prolonged land acquisition process, the implementation of infrastructure projects, particularly those belong to government, can experience long delay which eventually could lead to the project cost escalation and in many cases reduce the urgency or benefit of that project for people. So, this research aims at revealing and searching the causes of prolonged land acquisition.
