The research project will investigate how gender segregation in the Commuter Line affects the change of travel behaviour of woman passengers. Specifically, it will analyse the impact of the facilitates on the safety perception of woman passengers from threats and risks caused by men and women. The topic is stemmed from the unexpected phenomenon in Indonesia whereas women only carriage in the commuter line previously intended to protect women from sexual violence and harassment from man have resulted in intense competitions among women passengers to have a seat.
