Shay joins the GPEM school from the AusAid/GIZ Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve Project, Viet Nam, where her work focused on improving staff capacity to deliver livelihood improvement and conservation projects. Prior to this, she managed a range of natural resource management programs and projects for regional catchment bodies and local government in north east Victoria. Shay’s early career involved research and extension in the sugar industry, where she worked closely with landholders to improve productivity throughout the Plane Creek region, south of Mackay.
