Researcher biography

Toan Nguyen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at QLD Centre for Population Research, The University of Queensland (UQ). His primary research interests are in labor economics and family economics. Prior to the UQ, he was a Research Associate at the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, and a Software Engineer be­fore that. He received Ph.D. in Economics from Curtin University in August 2020. He has published in highly ranking international journals: European Economic Review, Social Science and Medicine, and The World Economy. His policy reports were featured in The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, SBS, The West Aus­tralian, and The Age. He has secured several grants and is currently serving as an independent consultant for French Development Agency (AFD).
