Researcher biography

I am a Senior Research Fellow in the NESP Threatened Species Recovery Hub and an affiliate of the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science. I apply methods from decision science to analyse and solve ecological management problems. My areas of interest are:

  • Eradication of invasive species
  • Adaptive management
  • Translocation and captive breeding

I am currently working on modelling the optimal timing of management relocations for species threatened by climate change, and developing decision tools for initiating captive breeding programmes.

Prior to my appointment at UQ, I was an ARC Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne (2011-2014), which is also where I completed my PhD in 2010.
