Researcher biography

My primary research interest is in developing more effective approaches for climate change mitigation. I have a particular interest in carbon farming innovation in tropical and subtropical environments. Carbon farming activities produce carbon offsets by sequestering and avoiding greenhouse gas emissions. Organisations use carbon offsets to reduce their net reportable carbon emissions. In this way, carbon farming and carbon offsets are an important part of global climate change mitigation efforts. My research covers carbon management activities associated with soil carbon, forest management, waste, agribusiness, infrastructure and electricity supply systems. My work seeks a better understanding of the constraints and opportunities to developing climate change mitigation outcomes that are more durable, more beneficial for people and ecosystem health, and more cost-effective.
