The organising committee of the Institute of Australian Geographers (IAG) Conference has extended session proposals for the 2017 annual meeting.
Session proposals can be completed here. The organising committee will allocate abstracts into sessions in consultation with session organisers.
This year’s conference theme is ‘Geography Counts’, stressing the role of geography in informing policy from a holistic, global perspective. The programme will be diverse and provide a variety of disciplinary perspectives – we encourage those from all areas of geography as well as non-geographers to attend. Confirmed keynote speakers include Prof Michael Batty (UCL), Prof Jo Little (Exeter), Prof Jonathan Nott (JCU), and Prof Matthew Zook (Kentucky).
Some other key dates to note:
- Registrations are now open at www.iagconference.com.au.
- Abstract submission will open in February 2017.
- With post-grad day, study group sessions, international keynote and plenary speakers, as well as a quality networking programme, this is an event not to be missed!
Please keep an eye on the website for updates.
